Hollywood director Joel Schumacher has passed away at the age of 80.
Schumacher died on Monday after a fight with cancer.
The filmmaker is well known for the hits 'Batman Forever' and 'The Lost Boys'.
His publicist said in a statement that he “passed away quietly” and will be “fondly remembered by his friends and collaborators”.
Schumacher initially worked as a costume designer before transitioning to filmmaking.
He made his directorial debut in 1981 with 'The Incredible Shrinking Woman'.
In 2011, he released his last film 'Trespass' starring Nicole Kidman.
